Hypocrisies Hypocrisies of ages hence will haunt us
And, fiercely, winds of tribulation blow
If anyone can save us from our dark imaginations,
It seems that we will never come to knowWe dread the thought of universal warfare
And yet we will do nothing to withstand
The ever-present threat that comes upon us in the nighttime
To come against each other for command. If love and peace and harmony are wished for,
Then love and peace and harmony should reign.
But whoever said that power would corrupt with absolution,
Well, let's just say that he was right again. If everyone knew everyone was equal,
Then anyone and every would be friends.
But when we try to tell them that, they laugh and call us names
'Cause we know what they'll have to, in the end.
